About us:
We are a website dedicated to the promotion of bike polo, bike culture and enjoying a bike in Oxford. Founded and run by bike-junkies, this is about fun and enjoyment rather than competition and kit. Our mallets are homemade and our bikes are mostly cobbled together-- some more high ended-ly than others. We play variations on Lil' Beruit Bike Polo These are stolen (and we hope one day will be courtesy of) Axles of Evil.
When:
Wednesday at 8:00pm or Sunday around 4pm NOW 2pm.
The Wednesday game is in the Comet Parking lot on the Botley Road (near the Army/Navy Store)
The Sunday game is at the top of South Park.
What to Bring:
A bike, though we don't reccomend bringing your £2000 downhill bike. Fixies work well, as do mountain bikes with good rear brakes. Fixed mountain bikes would be the best, if you feel like dropping some time and money on it. Games are followed by a social, so bring something for that. Mallets are provided and will be for sale in the coming weeks as well. Not for 'sale' as much as 'highly suggested donation'.
What to Expect:
Fast, furious, ball chasing action. Some dings and scrapes to you and your noble steed. Probably some fine colloquialisms spouting from our multi-national cadre of players. A good time all around.
